The Miss Fox edit on working + living in Napier City.

Meet Chantelle Fox (aka Miss Fox Aesthetics). She’s your resident Brow, Lash + Waxing specialist. Bringing customised, low-maintenance + street ready looks to the aesthetically conscious women of Hawke’s Bay.

The vibe at Miss Fox isn’t to overwhelm you with an array of beauty therapy treatments, or uncomfortable up-selling.

Instead, as an internationally qualified beauty therapist of over 10 years, Miss Fox sticks to what she’s good at – that’s taming your brows, lashes + hairy bits. But to help a gal out she’s also launched Shop with Miss Fox –  a curated collection of tried + trusted products so people all around NZ can maintain their brows, lashes + smooth bits at home. How good? So good!

So, what about time outside her den? Where will you find Miss Fox when she’s hopping around Napier City? We put it to Chantelle and here’s what she said…

Who’s ya go-to for Beauty + Wellness?

  1. You’ve got to experience the sanctuary that is Isla Skin Therapies. Seriously, Kellie + team know their stuff about skin. They got this incredible, uncomplicated way of explaining skin function, suggesting solutions + appropriate treatments. Think the best skin of your life beautifully blended with soul-care.
  2. Dara Thai Massage is hands-down the best massage I’ve ever had. Dara is infinitely intuitive + knows exactly where she needs to work. It’s the perfect amount of pressure without you wanting to jump off the bed.
  3. Every now + then I have a client seeking a more semi-permanent solution to hair removal. So I send them to the team at The Cosmetic Clinic for Laser Hair Removal. They’re highly trained + super profesh.
  4. After lush blonde locks + a killer cut? The gals at Vertu Hair know hair better than any other hairdresser I’ve ever been to. Brownie points that they use highly responsible colour systems that are kind to both people + the planet, too.

Fav Foodie / Drink Spots?

  1. If you’re after a Melbourne lane-way vibe in the heart of Napier City – you can’t go past Teresa Cocktail Bar. Cosiest spot in Napier for a nightcap. Thoughtful menu + friendly crew. Ditch the espresso martini for their Sicilian Caffe Coretto – you can thank me later.
  2. Vinci’s Pizza – for the best hot slice you’ll find outside of NYC. That’s a MF pinky promise. Epic spot for a bit of banter + admiring rad local art, too.
  3. I’m darn fussy about my daily cup of joe! Georgia on Tennyson is defo my go-to coffee slinger for a consistently good brew.
  4. Central Fire Station is my first pick for a special dinner out. Or when you wanna impress out-of-towners. They whip up an epic Short Rib + everyone swoons over the stunning Art Deco building.

What about downtime. Where do you escape?

  1. The Little Fox + I enjoy weekly visits to the Library + Museum to replenish our book stack. 100% #bookworms
  2. You’ll often find us strolling the Marine Parade + finding a picnic spot to enjoy our Vinci’s pie.
  3. I’m a bit of a bike cruiser. Pedaling to complete jobs around town, meeting up with pals or to head into the Miss Fox Studio. How lucky are we to live in a city where this is possible!? Our awesome bike trails + paths are legit the best. I would’ve added pro-skateboarder to my mode of transport too, buuuuut… a recent broken arm + zero ability to work while recovering means I’ll stick to the bike.
