We’re passionate about Napier and the people who make our inner city a great place. Formed in 1998, Napier City Business Inc. helps to strengthen our vibrant CBD by celebrating, educating, connecting and advocating for the business community.

We exist to support and assist Napier city businesses and property owners. Through marketing, activations, events and economic development programmes, along with promoting general welfare of the CBD and business community, we’re dedicated to shining a light on the city and strengthening it for years to come.
We are an independent organisation funded by a targeted levy on all commercial buildings in the Napier CBD rateable area based on the capital value of the buildings within this boundary, along with a contribution from the Napier City Council.

NCBI represents around 450 members and landlords who reside within our membership boundary; Marine Parade from the right-hand side of Browning Street to Vautier Street and to Clive Square, up Tennyson Street and everything in between. Businesses within this boundary automatically qualify for NCBI Membership and fully Registered Members have access to a full range of benefits.
Driven and dedicated Napier champions, our team look after marketing our members, business support, arts and heritage, operations, advocacy and strategy. We create activity that promotes the economic development of the area, assist attracting and retaining new business and act as the voice of Napier City.
Simply, we celebrate everything that makes Napier CBD what it is.
